Heather started out as a dental assistant but left the “back” and became our office manager and then our COO. Heather loves coming to work every day and views both her patients and coworkers as family. When not working, Heather enjoys riding motorcycles with her husband, Jesse, spending time with their three kids, and one of her most favorite hobbies is shopping!

Margaret has been in the healthcare field for over 15 years and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management at Appalachian State University in 2019. She is married to her husband, Zach, and they have a little girl. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends! She has been a part of the Mills River Family Dental family since 2019 and loves her work family. Her favorite part of working at Mills River Family Dental is establishing relationships with the patients at the office and strives to provide exceptional care to those at Mill River Family Dental!

Kayla joined Mills River Family as a dental assistant in April 2017. She has always aspired to help people in the dental field since she was young. Kayla loves spending time outdoors and on the water with her husband, son, and three dogs.

Penny joined our team in July 2024 and brings a passion for helping others, having volunteered at a local food pantry and cared for the elderly. A lifelong resident of the area, she loves the mountains and can’t imagine calling anywhere else home. She enjoys frequent trips to Key West with her sisters and friends and has two wonderful sons who have blessed her with five beautiful grandchildren. In her free time, she loves cooking Sunday family meals and spending time with her grandchildren or her 15-year-old fur baby, Missy.

Ashley is our knowledgeable and meticulous Insurance Coordinator. She joined us in 2025 with five years of experience in dental insurance, many years in healthcare and a degree in medical office administration. She grew up in the area and loves the beautiful mountains and experiencing all of the seasons. In her free time, Ashley enjoys crafts, spending time with loved ones, camping with her family, serving at church, learning new things, and venturing to new places with her husband.

Leslie joined the Mills River Family Dental team in June of 2025. She previously worked in the mortgage industry for over 9 years and is excited to extend her passion for helping others into the dental field. She and her husband live in Hendersonville with their two daughters, their dog, Remy and their flock of chickens. Outside of work you can find her at the softball field and the volleyball court cheering on her girls. For fun Leslie loves to travel and to be outside enjoying all that beautiful WNC has to offer!

Ansly joined our team in August of 2025 after spending 2 years as a real estate agent.  She brings a passion of meeting as many new faces as possible, she’s a social person and loves to talk to new people. Ansly has grown up in the area and truly enjoys the beauty of the mountains. She likes to spend her free time staying active by going to the gym, going on runs and walking her favorite furry friend Olive. 

Kaileigh was born and raised in Brevard, NC. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Brandon, and they have 3 beautiful daughters together; Paityn, Brylin and Raelyn. In her free time, she loves spending quality time with her family, traveling, vacationing, hiking, camping or any outdoor activity. With over 20 years in the dental field, Kaileigh has had the privilege of gaining experience in both clinical and administrative functions. This dual experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the inner workings of a dental practice, allowing her to bridge the gap between administrative and clinical care. As the Central Scheduling Coordinator for multiple dental offices, Kaileigh helps patients plan their visits and keep their smiles on track. She ensures every appointment runs smoothly and efficiently. From coordinating treatment schedules to assisting with insurance, billing or treatment questions.
